I am an MCIPD-qualified human resources (HR) professional. I work for a not-for-profit housing association, in the HR team, and have done so for the last 11 years. I work as an HR policy specialist focusing on employment law and policy, following work in recruitment, relations, training and policy. I have specialised in long-term sickness absence cases for the last 5–6 years. I have two young sons, one with X-linked agammaglobulinemia (XLA) and one without.
